Texas Sheet Cake

2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
½ cup margarine
½ cup shortening
¼ cup cocoa
1 cup water
½ tsp salt
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla



Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Bring margarine, shortening, cocoa and water to a boil and pour over dry ingredients. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add eggs and vanilla and add to other mixture. Beat well. Pour in greased 12 x 18” inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Frost while cake is still hot.

Frosting

1 cube margarine
4 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp milk
1 pkg powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup nuts

Boil margarine, cocoa and milk. Pour over powdered sugar. Add vanilla and nuts.
