White Rolls

1 Tbsp. yeast
1 cup water
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 2/3 Tbsp. butter or olive oil
1 ¼ tsp. salt
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk
1 ½ - 3/4 cup flour
1 egg
¼ cup mashed potatoes (optional)

Mix in bread mixer on dough setting. Roll out or press with fingers into 8 x 15” rectangle. Cut 15 strips. Tie in knots. Rise 1 – 2 hours. Can brush rolls with butter after out of oven. Cook 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes on second to top rack. Start mixing 3 hours and 15 minutes before eating.
